Infection Control
The Infection Control Practitioner
is a professional nurse who is
responsible for ensuring compliance
with state, federal and JCAHO
standards relating to infection
control. Reports to the Director of
Quality Management and Regulatory
Compliance. The Infection Control
Practitioner is responsible for the
planning, development, coordination,
implementation and evaluation of the
hospital wide infection control
program.
The Infection Control Practitioner
collaborates with and acts as a
consultant for the department
managers and staff. Advises,
implements and evaluates measures
necessary to prevent the spread of
infections within the hospital and
community.
