Laboratory & Pathology Services

The Clinical Laboratory and Pathology Departments at Jackson Purchase Medical Center provide inpatient and outpatient diagnostic tests to aid your physician. Our staff consists of medical technologists, histologists, cytotechnologists, and phlebotomists. Our two Pathologists oversee the acquisition and analysis of patient specimens in a tightly controlled professional environment. Our results are reported to the clinician through a sophisticated information system.

At JPMC we make every effort to ensure consistent quality throughout the laboratory system: high standards for personnel, the latest instrumentation, automation, and methodologies. Jackson Purchase Medical Center's laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists.

Hours of operation
Monday-Friday 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
Patients are asked to report to Registration in the Out Patient Lobby before presenting to the Laboratory.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
If your tests require you to be fasting, you may have water and/or black coffee (no cream or sugar). If you are diabetic, you should take your medication as scheduled.
