Occupational Health
The Jackson Purchase Physicians Occupational Health (JPPOH) is a unique joint venture between JPPA and JPMC , in partnership with the employers and payers of the Jackson Purchase region, focused on reducing bottom line workers' compensation costs and exposure.
Vision Statement
This venture will succeed, as it is able to gain trust by collaboratively building solutions for employers. As the program can demonstrate accountability, it will enhance local utilization of the broader continuum of health care services in the Jackson Purchase region.

Becky Emerson, RN, BSN, is Jackson Purchase Physicians' Occupational Health (JPPOH) Program Director
Becky has been at our facility for the past twelve years in the Emergency room. While there, Becky worked with many of our local employers and their employees who were treated for occupational injuries in the ER. She has been the Hospital's Coordinator of the in-house occupational health and Workers Compensation programs. With this knowledge and experience, Becky interfaces well with our community's employers, helping them control the cost of injuries to employees.
"I am very excited to be able to work with the Advisory Board and our community's employers to help them provide quality service and care to their injured employees. With my experience in the emergent care setting, I have an understanding of the mechanism of work related injuries, taking care of the employees while providing the employers with the communication needed to follow the injury care process," stated Mrs. Emerson. "I am looking forward to meeting with local employers to provide a needs assessment so JPPOH can provided the services needed. I have some ideas about new services that we can provide to our local employers that we will couple with our on-going educational and communication programs," continued Mrs. Emerson.
Jackson Purchase Physicians Occupational Health program was created to respond to the healthcare needs of employers in Western Kentucky. Its area of focus is to develop an integrated occupational health delivery system, inclusive of physician education, communication and case management, hospital service enhancement, and community outreach.
