Every employee of Jackson Purchase Medical Center must go through orientation prior to working at our facility. Continuing education is vital in a healthcare environment. Our medical staff is required to complete the courses needed to keep their licensure current. Jackson Purchase Medical Center is dedicated to ensuring that our patients are taken care of by trained professionals.
In terms of employees, the Facility Operations Department is one of our smallest departments but it has the most equipment to maintain. The biggest project they have is the building's boiler and chiller system's which provide heating and cooling throughout the facility. JPMC's Maintenance team strives to achieve a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors and employees. Cody Leonard is the Director of the Facility Operations Department at JPMC.
The Food and Nutrition Services Department provides meals, special formula services, and clinical nutrition services to hospital inpatients as well as general nutrition counseling to outpatients. The hospital provides patient meals that meet nutritional needs and appeal to the taste of people of all ages. Health Information Management
The Health Information Management (HIM) Department (also known as Medical Records) plays a vital role in the patient healthcare setting. HIM is responsible for the storage of all inpatient, observation, same day center charts, emergency department and labor and delivery charts. Click to read more.
Housekeeping & Environmental Services
Housekeeping services are provided by our Environmental Services Department which is dedicated to providing a safe, clean and comfortable environment for all hospital patients and their families. Jackson Purchase Medical Center employs 500 people from the Jackson Purchase area. We are the 4th largest industry in Graves County. We strive to inform all employees about important issues, upcoming events, and future plans.
Tressa Hargrove, Human Resources Director, and various employees from different departments throughout the hospital have formed a Customer Service Committee that is dedicated to solving employee related issues, planning upcoming events, and creating programs that reward employees. One program that has been a great success is the Customer Service Awards.

Information Systems (IS)
The Materials Management department at Jackson Purchase Medical Center is responsible for the ordering, stocking and inventory of supplies in all departments. This includes everything from Band-Aids and forms to operating room monitors. Materials Management is active in purchasing decisions for the hospital, considering quality, cost and availability.
