During National Nurses Week (May 6-12), we honor our more than 260 compassionate nurses who care for patients during their times of greatest need. Their voices and actions make a difference every single day – from monitoring patients at the bedside to championing new protocols and procedures and ensuring that quality is always at the heart of what we do. Thank you to Jackson Purchase Medical Center nurses for your dedication and commitment!
We proudly recognize all of the inspiring men and women who have responded to the calling to serve others by choosing a career in healthcare. Many of them have sacrificed their own health and well-being to care for our community during the last two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, and they continue to selflessly serve others without a desire for praise or recognition. Together, these individuals are truly at the heart of healthcare in Mayfield/Graves County. Join us in celebrating these healthcare leaders this Hospital Week.
On December 10, 2021, the Jackson Purchase Medical Center team responded to an EF4 tornado that devastated its home of Mayfield, Kentucky. With a network of corporate peers across the nation and a passionate team of frontline workers locally, we came out of the other side stronger than we were before. With resources we could count on, LifePoint stepped up with water tankers, a generator, Christmas gifts and funding through the LifeCare program for displaced employees. In an emergency, our team is one you can count on. This example of hard work and dedication in the midst of tragedy was recognized as a Mission Moment during the LifePoint CEO conference in March 2022.
