Total joint replacement doesn't just begin and end with surgery. We believe here at Jackson Purchase Medical Center that the better prepared you are physically and mentally, the better your surgical outcome will be. You need to know that we take your health very seriously and are excited to partner with you to ensure the highest quality of care. Ortho Bootcamp begins with pre-registering for your upcoming procedure. Following that, you will go to the outpatient rehabilitation office for a short informational session to take you through the total joint experience. You will also meet with a pre-admission surgical nurse to cover the surgical aspect. You will complete the day by getting all required lab work.
The informational session will take you through what to expect before, during, and after your total hip, knee, or shoulder replacement. We will also discuss exercises to perform for the best outcome. You will receive a booklet compiled by our team of experienced healthcare professionals to help answer any questions you may have about your upcoming surgery and to help paint a picture of what is to come in the days following your procedure. The best part? All of this is at no cost to you! Ready to go to Ortho Bootcamp? Call 270.251.4121 to get started.
